Emergency Roofer Anfield
Although our team are a highly experienced gang of roofers, our main strengths lie in emergency roofing. Needing an emergency roofer in Anfield can be incredibly stressful. If you’re having water come into your property or you need help straight away, do not delay! Call us straight away, and we will have a roofer out to you!
If your house has sprung a leak, a tile has slipped, or your roof has fallen in, then it’s time to get in touch and to do it quickly. We are on hand to take your call and can dispatch a contractor to you as soon as possible. Don’t leave it to chance; the longer your roof is in disrepair, the more expensive the fix becomes. Slipped tiles, missing lead & fallen chimney stacks can lead to water ingress. This water can be extremely damaging; it’s vital to put it right as soon as possible.
About Anfield
Anfield is one of the most recognisable names of an area in the modern world. Famous for Liverpool FC and The Kop, if you’ve never heard of Anfield, you may have lived under a rock for a while! If you’re not entirely sure where it is, it’s an area on the outskirts of Liverpool City Centre and is located at 53.430759 N, -2.961425 W in latitude and longitude coordinates.
There has been a lot of development in this area in the last 10 years, so it may look very different today if you’ve visited in the past. Stanley Park is at the heart of the area, with residents enjoying the lake, local football teams & the odd event here throughout the year. Roads such as Priory Road, Breckroad, and Oakfield Road are famous in their own special way.
Breckroad is home to a small shopping centre. Although it’s rundown in recent years, you can find an Asda, Home Bargains, and a number of independent shops. Anfield borders Everton, and between the two you’ll find Everton Park. A fantastic public park with panoramic views of Liverpool & The Wirral. We would recommend you visit here if you get a chance.
Anfield's Housing, Old and New
In short: much of Anfield is Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, a lot of it originally roofed in Welsh slate, alongside homes refurbished or newly built during the area’s regeneration. Roofer & Builder repairs and re-roofs both, for owner-occupiers, private landlords and businesses.
Welsh builders and architects were responsible for a great many of Liverpool’s nineteenth-century terraced streets, Anfield’s among them, and they often used slate, brick and timber shipped in from Wales. More recently, a regeneration partnership of Liverpool City Council, Your Housing Group, Liverpool Football Club and Keepmoat Homes has refurbished terraces around the stadium, in some cases joining two small houses into one larger family home, and built new houses nearby. If you rent one of these homes from a housing association, report roof problems to your landlord first.
Typical Roof Repairs in Anfield
Welsh slate is dense and weathers slowly, so on many Anfield roofs the slates outlast the nails, battens and leadwork around them. Small roofs over bay windows are a common weak point: the lead or slate covering and the flashing where it meets the front wall take a lot of weather, and a failure there often shows as damp above or beside the bay. At the back, gutters and downpipes that discharge into yards and narrow alleys can block unnoticed. Our roof repairs and lead replacement services cover these details, and our slate roof page explains when re-slating makes more sense.
On the Tuebrook side, the Newsham Park conservation area includes large three- and four-storey Victorian houses facing the park, where like-for-like materials are expected.
